Background of Department

  • The Balochistan Board of Intermediate &Secondary Education (BBISE) Quetta established under BISE Ordinance 1976 is an autonomous body. It is empowered with administrative and financial authority to organize, regulate, develop and control Intermediate and Secondary Education in general and conduct examinations in the public and private institutions affiliated with it.

Vision and Mission of Department

    MISSION:

  • To determine the policy related, cognitive and intellectual direction to the national and provisional Education authorities towards the progressive attainment of national aims and objectives of education at the Secondary and Higher secondary levels a fair, transparent and efficient examination system.

OBJECTIVES AND FOCUS of Department

    FOCUS:

  • Board focuses on proper inspection of the affiliated institutions through vigilant committees so as to monitor their academic performance and help them improve enrollment in schools and colleges; uplift sportsman spirit in students through physical education, award scholarship/prizes to students showing meritorious academic performance in results.

    Objectives::

  • The prime objective of Balochistan Board is to provide and ensure quality service at secondary and Higher secondary or equivalent level of education in terms of conducting examination and to maintain the required standard and benchmark so as to achieve national goal; therefore computerization system has been introduced in Balochistan Board for the betterment of the students of far flung areas especially in processing result, registration, result publication through website and so on.

JURISDICTION OF THE BOARD INCLUDES

  • To such institutions which are within the jurisdiction of the Board i.e. all over Balochistan (except the institution in the cantonments and run by cantonment board).

ROLE AND RESPONSIBLITIES OF BBISE

  • Affiliate institutions impacting SSC and HSSC education.
  • Prescribe course of instructions for SSC and HSSC.
  • Ensure provision of requisite facilities in the affiliated institutions.
  • Hold exams, appoint examiners and supervisory staff.
  • Institute measures to promote physical wellbeing of students.
  • Sports activities.

CONDUCT ATTITIONAL EXAMINATIONS

  • Diploma in Associate Engineering.
  • Diploma in Agriculture.
  • Diploma in Commerce.
  • Languages (ABID, ALIM and FAZIL Examination).
